Earthquake Early Warning begins only after sensors detect the first waves from an earthquake.
緊急地震速報は、地震計が最初の波を検知した後に初めて始まります。
Computers use those faster waves to estimate where stronger shaking may arrive, and the message is sent automatically.
コンピューターは速い波を使って強い揺れが届く場所を推定し、自動で情報を送ります。
Because analysis and delivery take several seconds, people close to the source may feel strong shaking before the alert reaches them.
解析と伝達に数秒かかるため、震源に近い人は速報より先に強い揺れを感じることがあります。
