Silbo Gomero is a whistled form of Spanish used on La Gomera, one of Spain's Canary Islands.
シルボ・ゴメロは、スペイン領カナリア諸島のラ・ゴメラ島で使われる、スペイン語を口笛に変えた言語です。
For centuries, islanders have used it to send messages across deep valleys, where ordinary voices can be difficult to hear.

The system turns spoken Spanish into a small set of whistle patterns that differ in pitch and in whether they are continuous or interrupted.
