Each household drain has a trap that holds a small amount of water.
家庭の排水口にはそれぞれ、少量の水をためるトラップがあります。
This water seal blocks sewer gases, odors, and insects from entering the room.
この封水は、下水のガスや臭気、害虫が室内へ入るのを遮ります。
When a floor drain is not used for a long time, however, the water can evaporate.
ただし床排水口を長期間使わないと、水が蒸発することがあります。
The drain may then smell even though the pipe is not leaking.
そのため、配管が漏れていなくても排水口から臭いがする場合があります。
First, slowly pour enough clean water into the drain to restore the seal.
まず、封水を戻すために、十分なきれいな水を排水口へゆっくり注いでください。
Do not permanently remove the trap parts, because they help form the barrier.
トラップの部品は水の障壁を作るため、取り外したままにしないでください。
If the odor continues after water is added, ask the building manager or a qualified drainage company to inspect the system.
水を足しても臭いが続く場合は、管理会社または資格のある排水設備業者に点検を依頼してください。

〜の後も…が続くなら
