We'll meet the neighboring owner and confirm the boundary. The city then measures the parcel and updates its map and records.

No. Owners on both sides confirm it together, using maps and other evidence.

Once they agree, surveyors mark the boundary points and calculate the parcel's area.

Right. The results are open for public inspection before they become final.
