Before the sheet is folded, its page numbers do not appear in normal reading order.
その紙を折る前は、ページ番号が通常の読む順番には並んでいません。
Instead, a process called imposition places each page in a special position on both sides of the paper.
その代わり、面付けと呼ばれる工程で、紙の両面の特別な位置に各ページを配置します。
After the sheet is printed, folded, and bound, the pages appear in the correct order.
その紙を印刷し、折り、綴じると、ページは正しい順番に並びます。
The students test the idea with a blank practice sheet before making their club guide.

Then pages two and seven share the other side. It looks wrong while it is flat.

Fold it now... One, two, three, four. The numbers finally behave.
じゃあ折るよ……1、2、3、4。やっと数字が言うことを聞いた。
So the confusing layout is a plan, not a mistake.
つまり、この分かりにくい配置はミスじゃなくて計画なんだな。
Our club guide can use the same trick and fit on one sheet.
私たちのクラブ案内も同じ工夫を使えば、1枚の紙に収まるね。

情報や物が限られた面・場所に収まることを表します。例: The whole schedule fits on one page.（予定全体が1ページに収まります。）
